About Us

Meet AFC

Armstrong's Fitness & Conditioning (AFC) is a black-owned activewear clothing line designed to empower people to live active and healthy lives. Our mission is to provide high-quality, functional, and stylish clothing that helps people to reach their fitness goals.

We sought to solve the problem of ill-fitting sports bras and leggings for everyone, especially women with heavier breasts & small frames. We wanted to create functional and discreet activewear suitable for executing any physical activity/movement for people of all shapes & sizes.

We create clothing for people who yearn for clothing that can properly adjust to whatever activity they are doing. Whether it’s lounging around the house, walking the dog, playing a sport, or performing a fully intense workout, we want your sports bra to support your chest, small or heavy, your leggings to keep everything intact without frequent tugging, and your activewear to keep you comfortable and confident.

The Three I's

Our core values consist of what we call the three I's:

Improve Confidence
Improve Performance
Improve Quality of Life

We believe that our clothing can make a real difference in the lives of our customers, and we are committed to using the best materials and construction techniques to ensure that our products are durable, comfortable, and perform well.

Our Founder

Hi hi! I'm Shermier Armstrong, Founder and Designer of Armstrong's Fitness & Conditioning. I'm a fitness trainer with a background in Exercise Science and a former athlete.

The idea originated from the struggle to find a good sports bra for people with heavier breasts and a small frame. It was either fitting around the band but a lot of spillage or fit the boobs but too loose. I wanted to create a sports bra that could work for everyone and for any physical activity.

The leggings motive came from the frustration of always having to unravel or pull up the leggings. I wanted to find a solution to the problem as well as be discreet about the appearance.

My main priority for both was functionality, then later the appearance came together. I wanted to make sure that everyone can feel comfortable in their bodies and appearance while also being able to execute movement of any sort.
